Separation

Often, following a relationship breakdown, we are not able to immediately deal with the formalities of separation & simply want help to agree what should happen with the children & the finances temporarily until we are better placed to look to the long term decisions.

Many people that we talk to haven't made a firm decision as to whether they want to divorce or whether there is some way to repair their relationship. We are able to meet & talk about what your options are and hopefully make things a little clearer for you.

It is possible to have an informal separation where you live separately from your spouse or separately within the same home. We would help you agree your finances and as informal as this arrangement is, it should be recorded in a Separation Deed which we will prepare for you.

At some point then in the future you decide that the separation will be permanent, then the Separation Deed can be incorporated into a Court Order with your divorce proceedings.
